We humans can be very clever. We spend a lot of our time preoccupied with activities that, in spite of their cleverness and ingenuity, result in increased obsolescence and a diminished world. Creativity, in contrast, requires us to think beyond the single clever solution and ask the question “what is it for?” Creativity makes us think on behalf of all the pieces, not just one.

The Community Matters Campaign focused on the importance of social capital—the ties that bind the citizens of King County together as a community. Through educational forums, community dialogues, and discussions on avenues for action hundreds of people helped identify strategies we should take to strengthen our social capital.

We are thrilled to announce Skyway Park as the 2009 Pomegranate Center Dig Fund recipient.
The Dig Fund is a Pomegranate Center program that helps deserving projects with great ideas but limited resources become a reality. Each year, we select a project and partner with that community to build the resources they need to see the project all the way through. (More about the Dig Fund)
