Volunteer

Volunteers play a significant role in the work we do. In a typical year, hundreds of volunteer hours (sometimes thousands) are contributed to our projects and activities. We need you if you:

  • want to help build a community gathering place
  • enjoy planning, public relations, fund raising or administrative work

Do an Internship with Us

We offer diverse internship opportunities, which typically fall into two categories: projects and administrative assistance. Knowledge and skills helpful for project-based internships include: social research, community development, horticulture, environmental education/ psychology, media, architecture, landscape architecture, arts, public health, social service, policy research and public affairs. Skills helpful for administrative internships are: website design, technical writing, grant writing, graphic design, database design and management. All internships are unpaid.
