It’s time to build! After a year of planning and preparation with the Friends of Skyway Park and the King County Parks & Recreation Department, we’re ready to build some gateways! Join us at Skyway Park on Friday, 8/21 and Saturday, 8/22 as our 2009 DIG Fund project becomes a reality.

Carving, sanding, and staining our way to a stronger Skyway Park!

Workshop Details:

When: Friday, August 21, 1pm - 5pm and Saturday, August 22, 9am - 5pm

Where: Skyway Park, in the center of the park by the restrooms (Map)

What: Carving, sanding, and painting five gateway columns that will mark the north and south entrances of the park

Why: Building gateways at Skyway Park’s major entrances will make the park more visible, attractive, and user-friendly.

No skill necessary! No maximum age limit (minimum age 11 years old).
