Volunteer FAQ

Do I have to stay for the whole week?
Nope. You can join us for one full day (7:30am to 6pm) or participate for the whole week! The more time you can commit, the more fun you’ll have…trust us!

Where do I stay?

Volunteers will be lodging in two unoccupied homes on site- it’s a slumber party! Bathrooms and kitchens will be available.

What about meals?
We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for all our volunteers. (The after-hours wine and beer is extra…)

Do I need design or construction experience to participate?
No. We design our projects so anyone can participate meaningfully. Our skilled team mebers will help you feel like an expert in a matter of no time!

What do I need to bring?
Here is a short packing list:

  • Work clothes
  • Closed-toe work shoes
  • Toiletries and a towel
  • Work gloves (we have extras)
  • Tool belt (if you have one)
  • Water bottle
  • Sleeping bag, pillow and Thermarest or air mattress (we will be sleeping in two unoccupied homes in the neighborhood)

Bree at Pomegranate Center has all the answers! Contact her at 425-557-6412 or bree@pomegranate.org
