Turning a wall that separates into a gateway that connects

Built adjacent to a public elementary school, this park consists of an outdoor gathering circle constructed of cedar and a sculptural gateway made of recycled brick, local river-rock and iron. The gateway allows children living in the neighborhood apartments to use the playground after school hours. The gathering circle serves as an outdoor classroom for teachers and students. This park was made possible through the grassroots efforts of individuals, local businesses and the City of Issaquah.
