Turning blacktop into learning environments

Pomegranate Center helped teachers, parents, and children in a multi-ethnic and low-income section of Oakland, CA, develop a plan to turn blacktop playgrounds into outdoor classrooms, gardens and art-filled spaces for Lazear Elementary School.
